John Henry Update!! The Dedication On Wednesday, October 8 in front of television cameras and approximately 300 visitors, the Kentucky Horse Park unveiled the bronze statue of John Henry, commissioned by Bill Oster and the John Henry Memorial Fund, and sculpted by Shelley Hunter.

Hunter Equine Arts is the official website for information on the Equine Art of Shelley Hunter. A nationally awarded sculptor and painter who's art is notable for its portrayal of the equine form in action. This website is maintained and updated through the support of her fans and friends in the art community.
About Shelley HunterShelley Hunter grew up in Michigan and has had a passion for art and horses since childhood. Hunter has a BA in Art from Michigan State University and
spent time as a painter and ceramicist, but never found the artistic
satisfaction she sought until she discovered sculpture. Then, as she describes
it, "Bells and whistles went off and I knew that this was it. This was what I
was meant to do."
